• About Me

Hello, my name is MJ Schrader. Thank you for visiting and spending time with me.

This is my personal blog about random things. Many of my blogs are about growth, because "Helping You Find the Love Within" is what I do. But this is my blog, so it also has the randomness that makes life interesting and fun.

Now what??

September 17, 2008 by MJ Schrader

I am dreamer…

Twenty suggested I share my goals only with my supporters to keep only positive energy flowing. I agree with his logic, yet I should hope, especially those who have followed me from MySpace to here, that you will be positive and give such feedback. Yet, methinks perhaps I shall keep the long range goals hid, and slowly release my goals just a bit in advance.

Strange little me, still needs to announce my goals as a form of commitment to myself and to you my readers. Especially when I’ve already made the commitment to share my goals with you.

Below I share just a few immediate goals. (Well, my long time readers, you know my big goal is to have a “green” environmentally friendly low energy home.) But I have goals that are closer at hand, and far more pressing.

My primary goal is to start making money from home. Tax season will be starting again in January and I would like to start making a grand a month before then. As expenses go up, my tax season savings are depleting faster. So my urgent goal is to not have to find a job between now and January. Yet the even better goal is to not need my tax season job.

My next goal is to find a way to make membership websites, with relative ease. My site has been so delayed because there has been far more programming than I expected in coordinating Amember and Wordpress.

The reason getting that particular site up and running and wanting it to be easy, has to do with my goal for the next year. My goal is to help moms and others who must stay at home create membership websites so they can have a reasonably guaranteed monthly income.

Yet; www.info-wizards.com, has been wrought with problems in it’s creation. Programming, editing, smoothing etc… have delayed that project by over a month. It is something I must learn, however, it seems there must be an easier method of intertwining Wordpress with a membership website.

The people I seek to help will want the simplicity Wordpress brings to the table. Ability to easily add and change articles at a moments notice without knowing or worrying about HTML or PHP will be the saving grace.

While my lack of income, even upon creation of the intermediary site www.book-wizards.com is disappointing, it is not knowing how to help others create membership websites easily that is most frustrating. How can I be the Michael Jordan (MJ) of Membership Site Creation when my own progress is delayed by lack of knowledge, never mind teaching others whose programming knowledge is even less than my own?

Setting Goals

August 22, 2008 by MJ Schrader

Wrote a blog just days ago… Dare Something Worthy.  Please read it.

But with my Dare Something Worthy Blog I realize I must announce my goals soon. These announcements are to encourage commitment.  Not of myself alone, but of you my readers as well, because you can now hold me accountable.

First I must commit to making S.M.A.R.T. goals this will help me take the steps I need to reach the big goals.

So you being curious ask, “What the heck are S.M.A.R.T. Goals?

S – Specific – what is the exact goal? Clarify and make it specific

M – Measurable – Each goal must be measurable, which allows you to see “forward movement.”

A – Achievable – If you cannot achieve the goal, what point does it have?

R – Realistic – It must be something while it stretches your abilities; it is something you feel you can do.

T – Time Bound – A reasonable time limit set for accomplishing your goal.

Next off I commit myself to GSD.  No not a drug, but Get Stuff Done.  Each night I will right down things that must be done to achieve my SMART goals, each morning I will take one task and commit to finishing it that day. Then take on the next GSD.

My big goals are in my mind, but not yet on paper. My goal for next week is to have all my goals written and added to this blog.

What are your goals?

Will you be smart and make your goals SMART?

Dare Something Worthy

by MJ Schrader

Two nights ago my ex-boyfriend, said my new friends are after (my) money.  Although he “Hoped that this time I would be able to succeed.”  It ticked me off.  (Glad I ended it, but wish he would do what promised then get his stuff and go.)  His reference is 3 years ago; in retrospect I was not ready.  My goals were not * WORTHY.*

Helping people has always been a distant dream; yet for months the dream has stared at me.  I have known exactly how to monetize interests of 3 different friends who can not go back to the regular workforce, yet something has held me back.

Dr Joe Vitale has guided me for 10 years, even though I oft disappeared; he seemed to appear right when I needed guidance.  Like a month ago, when I went to a seminar and met my “new” friends who “Dare Something Worthy.”  This week I listened to the Vegas Dynamic by Twenty Twenty, he talks of openness.

The eye opener was  last night listening to Ben Mack’s Bad A** call, I realize it has not been fear holding me back.  I have kept my true self hidden since I was a pre-school girl (the clever-strange-child).  The real me has been immerging, and it is vastly incongruent with “sweet-little-Martha;” perhaps the true source of the Two-Day Migraine this week.  The projected me was limited…

It’s now time to * Dare something worthy *  (from Dr Joe Vitale)

To truly “Dare Something Worthy” I need to dare something BIG.  Dare something beyond my limitations and expand the universe for others.

Ben Mack twitters of Magic, reminding me that as a child I believed in Magic.  When the magician visited our school, I knew the tricks, but loved the Magic.  Yes magic is sleight of hand, redirection, and prompting, however Magic, is much more.  Magic is making the impossible possible.   The power of Magic influences, involves, even evolves the audience.

To Dare Something Worthy I must impart Magic.   Involving, influencing and evolving the audience, and when they become part of the Magic, then they will magicians as well.  Then they can create Magic for others and more people will evolve to see Magic …

Thank you Pat O’Bryan

August 3, 2008 by MJ Schrader

I meant to write this blog when I got back from San Antonio, but I didn’t.  Last Saturday night I spent with some of my new friends, whom I hope will be friends for life.

See the pictures by clicking here.

It gave me hope to see this new world, or rather a world I knew existed yet had only seen glimmers.  There were people whose careers I had followed for years and they sat right behind me.

At first I did a bit of hero worship, then the reality of their just acting on their ideas is what had brought them there.  And ideas are something I have in over abundance.

So forward I go.

My life has changed.  Dramatically, and Drastically.  In less than 2 weeks, I became single again, ”changed” my name, have realized what I need to do and most importantly realized my “Why.”

So let’s tackle this in order, skipping the first. For those who knew me before this weekend, as Martha or Martha Jo (both of my grandmother’s names), you can keep calling me either, but I am now using MJ.

To me, “Martha Schrader” is my grandmother whom we lived with.  Then there is one on the internet who is a Commissioner in Colorado.  AND OF ALL THINGS IN THE WORLD certain people call me “Martha Stewart.”    DO NOT! NO!

Some people call me, “Mary Jane,” which is kind of cool.  I think of  Spiderman’s girlfriend, she has red hair, and she goes by MJ tambien.  (Yes I wish my hair was strawberry blonde.)

Martha Jo is too… country.  MJ,  it’s short, it’s simple, maybe not very feminine; but, it reminds me of Michael Jordan.  (Would love to meet him!) and a very dear ex-employer told me MJ was a successful name.  So yes I am the very successful MJ.

From here on, my introduction is “Hello, my name is MJ.”  Or “Hi, my name MJ Schrader, and I am an Internet Rockstar!”

What do I need to do?

Create.  Each month I will bring one of my ideas to life.  (where is the Frankenstein music when you need it?)  Hopefully later I will be able to speed up.  Speed up?  Yes I am way behind and have a spiral bound notebook full.

What is my Why?

For those who read the MySpace Blog, in order to make a dramatic change you need a Why.  A Why gives you the incentive to break free the shackles of 9 to 5 life.

So again, what is my Why?

Me.  2 weeks ago, I called that selfish.  But I realize now, that I am important, I can help others, do more, create more, give more, if I am who I really am.

I love to travel, feed the birds, play with my dogs, work with my cat in my lap.  I love to help people, and listen to music, and be larger than the quiet “mouse” that so many see.  I want to be a Wonder Woman like Donna Fox.

And The Divine, is bringing the cards together, my soon to be web designer’s girl left a comment on MySpace for me.  And hopefully I will be able to hire both of them before long.  Because I already have a job in mind for you.  Funny answers were staring me in the face.

I now own www.BlueLemonadeStand.com ,  my creative store, the store will be changing.

www.BlueLemonadeStand.com/MJSchrader, my blog

www.info-wizards.net,  a PLR membership website

www.book-wizards.com - unknown purpose, just a name I had

www.momadoo.com - For moms & dads and others too

www.PracticalGreenNews.com, for those who want to be green but don’t want an extreme lifestyle change.

Suddenly I feel more alive than I have in wow, years.  Pat O’Bryan - Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Unseminar 5.  Thank you for being part of a radical change in my life.  Thank you Dr Joe VitaleTony Laidig and Ben Mack.  Thank you Dr Scott Lewis

Thank you to the powerful women, Donna Fox, and Carrie (Barefoot Executive), who ran color commentary, and to Erica Douglass.

Thank you Eric Farewell, Simon Leung.  Thank you Craig Perrine, I owe you for the name “Practical Green News.”

Thank you to Bill Hibbler, who helped me find my wonderful new Mastermind Group, 20/20, Carol, Armando, Scotty, and Kim.  Thank you to all the other wonderful and vibrant people I met.  A special thank you to Diane of www.propertyhugger.com

Unseminar 5 in one week…

July 20, 2008 by MJ Schrader

As a child, one looks to adult life as simple.  You have a job, you make money, you make decisions.  Then when you get to be an adult, you do have a job, you do make money, you do make decisions.

However, these decisions are not what you thought.  I am a tax preparer for 4 months, enjoy it for 3 months.  Is that I am a creative person that make me resent the 9 to 5 of life, or is that I can see, feel even taste the bland meaninglessness of it.  Even at just 7 years old, I remember thinking that there was a way to duck the system, to avoid the classic 9 to 5 and the dull standard repetition of a job.

Yet, money pays bills, it puts food on the table, it keeps your family from looking at you with contempt.  And jobs provide money.

So your decisions wind up based on a cost value.  I.e. I don’t have a job, I don’t eat.  A sick day means a day w/o pay.  Buying this toy means I don’t have A/C (in July in Texas).  Even time is based on cost value, unfortunately I play Mobsters, yet this is time taken away from website design and writing.

Yet, it’s not as if I know website design.  It is in fact this very flaw that prevents me from creating the “wonderfully fantastic” membership website that I so want to create.  It is that very flaw that keeps me stalled about trying to create a great many things, for I only understand the basic concept of HTML.

My only hope is that in one week, when I go to San Antonio to the Unseminar5 that I learn more or get in touch with people who can do my weaknesses.  For while I could in fact learn HTML, my attempts have gotten me so bogged down on details that I forget my original goal and get focused on non-essentials.

Going to Unseminar5

July 5, 2008 by MJ Schrader

Well, earlier this week I booked myself to go to Unseminar 5 in San Antonio, Tx.   The seminar runs July 25th thru the 27th.

Pat O’Bryan is the host, but the guests include Joe Vitale, of “The Attractor Factor,” “The Key,” and many more. I have read three of his books and followed his emails for years. Then there are Craig Perrine, Bill Hibbler, Donna Fox, all of whom I have watched their careers for a few years.  And others whom I am just now learning about.

This should be very exciting.  I am going to meet people who are motivated and have achieved success with building an online business.  The attendees are people who working towards that goal themselves and I will develop lifelong friendships with other “portable empire” business owners.

Pat O’Bryan is the creator of Portable Empire which is creating a business that can be as portable as a traveler can be.

And for those that have read my blogs you know I have long had a desire to create a paid membership website.  One of the guests actually built a business and sold it for a million dollars.

The hotel is expensive but I will just have to make do.  While it sucks to do this while I am unemployed, I am taking a leap of faith.  Success WILL follow.
